On behalf of the search committee, I wanted to reach out and provide an update about what has been happening so far with the search for the next Senior Pastor of Grace Chapel.
Over the past few weeks, the search firm has been up and running: receiving applications, reaching out to their network of candidates and any referrals they have received. Internally, we have seen some increased activity on our social media channels and website traffic, which tells us that there are people out there checking out who we are as a church!
Last week, elder Carrie Tibbles heard from our search firm partner, Eugene Lee from Vanderbloemen. In that call, they let us know that we have received over 30 qualified candidates and the applications are still coming in. They are working on narrowing down the candidate pool and sharing their preliminary findings with the search committee next week. Please be praying for the search committee as they meet with Eugene and begin their process of discernment!
Over the last month, Carrie has held several listening sessions at our Watertown, Wilmington and Foxboro campus. It has been a real blessing to hear from each campus, and their unique perspectives and experiences at Grace Chapel. As a reminder, we have a few more listening sessions to go! If you have not attended one yet, we would love to have you join any of the below listed sessions:
- Sunday, August 13, 2:00 PM – Online Campus over Zoom
- Sunday, August 27, 9:00 AM & 11:00 AM – Lexington Campus, in the Courtyard
- Sunday, August 27, 12:15 PM – East Lexington – 2 Militia Dr, room 205
Each campus is also planning a night of prayer to pray specifically over the Senior Pastor Search and this season of change for our church. We hope you can join us for one of those nights. You can find the dates and times of these prayer nights on our events page.
