About the Event
The recent events in Baton Rouge, Minneapolis, and Dallas are a heartbreaking reminder of all that is not right in our world. In fact, the violence we have seen in the past few months – past few years can seem overwhelming. What do we do? Where do we start? One of the things that scripture tells us to do is lament – something too often forgotten in our churches. But lament recognizes struggles and suffering. Lament acknowledges that the world is not as it should be. And most importantly lament points us to God as we cry out for justice.
All of our campuses are invited to join together for a Service of Prayer, Lament and Worship on Wednesday, July 20, 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Lexington Campus Sanctuary as we seek God for healing and hope in the midst of this broken world.
