We are thrilled to announce that on October 4 from 7-9:30pm in the Lexington Campus Courtyard, Grace Chapel, in partnership with Fostering Hope, is hosting author Jamie Finn, for her “Filled: 60 Devotions for the Foster Parent’s Heart” Book Tour! This will be a special night of encouragement for Christian foster parents (and anyone else who cares about serving children and families experiencing vulnerability!).
Who is Jamie Finn?
Jamie is the bestselling author of Foster the Family, president of Foster the Family, founder of the Filled Gathering, author of fosterthefamilyblog and a sought-after speaker for retreats, conferences, and events for foster and adoptive parents. Her popular social media accounts offer a glimpse into the real life of a foster parent and provide encouragement to thousands of foster parents. Jamie is wife to Alan and the mother to seven children, including her two biological children, three adopted children, and two children welcomed through foster care.
Jamie says, “I believe that Scripture speaks with clarity and comfort and command for all of life–including foster care. And I’ve come to experience that reading His Word, knowing His promises, and understanding His character transforms the way we think, feel, and walk as foster parents.”
The evening will begin with a Biblical teaching from Jamie that we pray brings you hope and encouragement. It will be followed by a Q&A, meet-and-greet, book signing, and time to connect with local foster families. Tickets include a Filled book bag stuffed with a hardcover copy of Filled, sticker, and bookmark (a $35 value) and are for sale at the link below. They are $30 for a solo ticket and $35 for a “two-fer” ticket. There is a small block of complimentary tickets if the cost is prohibitive for your family. You can email Lara@plainjainefoundation.org to inquire about availability.
