Live Generously

Giving is an expression of gratitude to God

Discovering life with God for the good of the world

Everyone who calls Grace Chapel their church home shares a common purpose: discovering life with God for the good of the world.  We serve thousands of people across our five in-person campuses and our online campus every week in a variety of ways: weekend worship services; midweek connection opportunities; ministries and programs for kids and teens; care, support, and recovery programs; and support for our ministry partners around the globe. Every gift we receive supports ministry across all of our campuses, including our online campus.

The Impact of Giving

Lives are transformed for eternity and made possible only through giving to Grace!

Help us End the Fiscal Year End Strong

We are so grateful for the 1,955 donors who made both small and large gifts to Grace last year alone – 426 of whom gave to Grace for the very first time. Please know that we are absolutely committed to embedding thoughtful stewardship more meaningfully in the life of our church.

Over 50 years ago, Howard Dayton, a successful business leader and author, researched all the bible passages that talked about money and possessions.  In the end he found 2,350 Bible passages that mentioned resources and our use of them.  Why are there so many more passages on money?

Howard’s response was, “Because God knows that our attitude toward money is an indication of where our heart is with God.”  We the people of Grace need to trust God with every aspect of our lives, including our resources. As we look ahead to growing the practice of regular giving across our congregation. Here are some of the ways we hope to communicate “the why behind the what” of giving:

  • Every gift matters. You might look around at our campuses, at all the things we do to reach people through our Sunday services, throughout the week, and online, and think, “my gift is small, will it even make a difference?” The answer is: YES – absolutely! The ministry of Grace is expressed in hundreds of ways through and beyond our Sunday worship services, and it takes resources to make that happen. Your giving plays a critical part and makes a tangible impact.
  • Giving is good for you. Have you ever met a miserable generous person? We haven’t either. But it’s not just about the act of giving, it’s what it represents: putting God first and at the center of everything in our lives, including our finances. Giving is an act of worship! To grow in generosity, you must start giving, and there’s no better time to start than today, even with a small gift. They say the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, but the second-best time is today! Growing in generosity happens with a small start and a faithful commitment to see where it goes and how it grows. Even a small gift each week can be used by God for something impactful.
  • Giving is good for the world. Your gifts make a difference in ways that extend far beyond the walls of our church. We give a significant portion of our offerings to missions, supporting ministries of all kinds here in Greater Boston and around the world. Our online ministry connects with people we might never see in person but is leading them to a deeper relationship with Jesus.

We are looking at a significant shortfall of $595K from our FY25 budget goal. If everyone prayerfully considered an over and above gift to their regular giving or folks gave their first gift, we could easily close the gap.

If you have ever given a gift or frankly are even considering giving a gift to Grace Chapel, small or large, please know that we are deeply grateful. Countless people have and will continue to benefit from Kingdom investments made in and through the ministry of Grace.

The collection of stories of our kids, students, adults, seniors and mission partners are all part of the Grace Chapel story. Your sacrificial giving to Grace has and will continue to advance the Kingdom and for that we are eternally grateful to our great God.

Mission – Vision – Values

Grace Chapel's Mission is to make and mobilize more disciples for Jesus Christ, in Greater Boston and beyond.

Our Vision is to strive to be a vibrant, growing, multicultural community of seekers and believers, discovering life with God for the good of the world.

Our Values include Vibrant Faith, Biblical Teaching, Multicultural Community, Generous Orthodoxy, Missional Heart and Cultural Engagement

Gratitude

What does it mean to be truly grateful? Merriam-Webster defines grate·ful, as “appreciative of benefits received”, pleasing by reason of comfort supplied or discomfort alleviated.”

While that’s true, doesn’t it seem like something is missing from this definition? Sometimes gratitude can be confused with a positive attitude or feeling. But it’s really about perspective.

It’s better to be a “glass half full” kind of person than a “glass half empty” kind of person, but true gratitude seems more about being thankful that you have clean water and a glass to put it in.  And there’s another thing about being grateful missing from this definition: a grateful heart and expressing gratitude can be contagious.

If you are giving to Grace – please know that we are immensely grateful for your faithfulness and generosity.
