Build
Luke 6:47-48 says, “As for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice, I will show you what they are like. They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built.”
In this time of rapid change and uncertainty, let’s be encouraged to turn to the Lord and to his Word, letting it be the foundation that’s keep us steady, grounded, and unshakable.
LYRICS
Chorus
I want to build, build, build
My house on your foundation
I want to build, build, build
Upon the solid rock
Any scheme of man
Is just a shack on shifting sands
I want to build, build, build on you
Verse
Well the carpenter’s son, he came to us
With the blueprints to reveal
A house that stands on God’s commands
His wisdom and His will
And he warned that storms would come and go
But of this we can be sure
If we’re building on his word
We will endure
Bridge
Brick by brick, stone by stone
With Jesus as the corner
These walls will never fall
Brick by brick, stone by stone
With Jesus as the corner
These walls will never fall
They’ll never fall
