A 5 Week Short-Term Group on Christians Engaging Politics
Regardless of your views on politics, the election season is a challenge for most of us. Some of our most painful conversations with loved ones and with strangers have been around politics. And as the Presidential Election season heightens to a crescendo, we want to create space and resourcing to help you.
And so we are launching a 5 Week Series of Short-Term groups across our campuses focused on “The After Party” resource. We will be using the video curriculum that supports the book The After Party written by Curtis Chang and Nancy French. Each week we will watch a video (about 15 minutes long) and work our way through the discussion questions provided.
While we acknowledge that no resource on Christians engaging in politics is perfect, we do find this one extremely helpful. It’s not about who you should vote for but more about how do we treat the person we disagree with and how do we as followers of Jesus engage in our world politically.
This study explores 4 postures discussed in the book and video content:
- The Disciple
- The Exhausted
- The Combatant
- The Cynic
We invite you to join us at a group at one of our campuses or one that meets online.
You can find a group on our Group Finder (more will be posted as they form) or email us at with your name, and if you prefer online or in-person. Please mention where you live, which campus you worship at and we’ll do our best to provide the options.
