Advent Meditations
Come, let us adore him.
December is upon us, and with it the season of Advent. It’s so much more than the hectic weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Advent means “arrival,” and we move through these days knowing that God’s plan is always in motion, that the world waited lifetimes to hear those angel voices and the cry of a human, holy child. We are reminded that our weary world waits still for the one who will rule with truth and grace. And as we wait, we prepare our hearts.
Our Advent meditation series “Come, Let Us Adore Him” is designed to help ground your Christmas season with reflections on Jesus’ birth and the Christmas story.
Beginning on December 1, the first Sunday of Advent, you can find a new meditation each Sunday on the Grace Chapel's Thoughtful Faith blog, followed by five excerpts or verses from the Bible on the same theme, for your reflection and encouragement during the week.
You can also receive app notifications for each post in the Grace Chapel app, Grace Chapel Connect. Simply open the app, tap your profile in the upper right hand corner of the screen, then select the "Settings" wheel, also in the top right corner of the screen. In this menu, you'll find "Notification Categories" as the second option. Open this option and select "Watch, Listen, Read" and you will receive notifications to your phone any time Grace Chapel publishes new and valuable content to grace.org, including these Advent Meditations.
The week’s meditations will complement the Advent sermon series, Let Every Heart Prepare Him Room.
So come—let us adore him, as we make our way to the celebration of Christmas, the arrival of God with us.
